Changed my mind about dado blades after seeing my friend's kitchen job

I used to think dado blades were a waste of money (too many teeth to clean, too heavy, takes up space). But my buddy Frank invited me over to see his kitchen cabinet build from last month. The before and after on his drawer joinery was night and day. He used a stacked dado set for those box joints and they were so tight you couldn't slide a piece of paper in the gap. Took him maybe 3 hours total for all 12 drawers. I've been doing rabbets with just a regular blade and sanding to fit which takes forever. Anyone here switch to a dado setup and regret going back to single blades?

Wait, 3 hours for ALL 12 drawers? That's insane. I spent literally a whole weekend on just 8 drawers with a regular blade, sanding and test fitting every single joint over and over. That "couldn't slide a piece of paper in the gap" detail is wild to me. My joints always have this tiny wiggle room no matter how careful I am. Think I gotta borrow Frank's saw and see what all the fuss is about for myself.
