The day I stopped treating email like a chat app

I used to fire off quick replies to work emails like texts, until my supervisor in Denver asked why I never put a subject line or a clear ask. That one question made me realize my old way was costing me follow-ups and confusion on every thread. Anyone else grow out of an early habit that was holding them back?
