That $300 online certification got me laughed out of an interview in Austin

Paid 300 bucks for a 'leadership certificate' from some online academy last spring, thought it would beef up my resume. The hiring manager literally said, 'we don't count those here,' and spent the whole interview asking about real project work I did at my old warehouse job. Has anyone else dropped money on credentials that turned out to be worthless in their field?
