My view on networking flipped after our street fair

Chatting with folks at the street fair made me see the power of local networks for job hunting.

Okay but idk if street fair chats really lead to jobs though. I mean those are just nice random talks, not real professional connections. Maybe it's just me but feels like old advice that doesn't work now. Everything is online anyway, and talking to neighbors about work seems kinda forced. Doubt anyone actually gets hired from that.
