My boss caught me doomscrolling during a client call in Chicago

I had this habit of checking my phone during dull parts of video calls. One day my manager saw me scrolling Instagram on a Zoom with a big client from Merchandise Mart. He didn't say anything during the call but pulled me aside after. That talk made me realize I was burning trust and I started keeping my phone in my desk drawer during meetings. Anyone else have a wake up call about bad habits at work?

Did your boss ever mention if your scrolling affected how the client saw you?

Figured I was just multitasking and nobody would notice... that talk made me realize I was being way too obvious about it.
