Just saw a stat that 70% of people regret their college major choice within 5 years

I was scrolling through a Bureau of Labor Statistics report last night, totally random, and found this number that 70% of graduates say they'd pick a different major if they could do it over. That blew my mind. I mean, I knew some people felt stuck, but almost three quarters of the workforce? I've been in IT for 8 years now and my degree is in history, which felt useless at first but actually helped with writing and research. Now I'm wondering if that stat is skewed by people who just want more money or if it's real regret. Has anyone else here actually gone back to school or switched careers after realizing your major wasn't the right fit?
