I thought writing a cover letter for a job I really wanted would take an hour. It took me three whole days.
I saw a perfect project manager role at a tech company in Austin and knew I had to nail the application. I started writing my cover letter on a Tuesday, thinking I'd be done by lunch. I kept rewriting it, trying to match every single point in the job ad, and getting stuck on the opening line. By Thursday night, I had gone through maybe fifteen different versions before I finally sent one off. Has anyone else gotten totally stuck trying to make one cover letter perfect for a dream job?
