Got told my interview answers were too vague and it cost me a job
I applied for a clinic coordinator role and made it to the final round. The hiring manager called me after and said, 'We went with someone else because your examples were all general, like 'I'm a team player.' You never gave a specific story.' I realized I was just listing traits. Now I prepare three detailed stories with numbers, like 'I organized the shift handoff for 12 nurses, cutting report time by 15 minutes.' Has anyone else gotten this kind of feedback and how did you fix it?
