A stat about job hopping I saw on a LinkedIn report really surprised me

I was looking at a report from LinkedIn last week about job changes. It said that people who switch jobs every two to three years can see a salary boost of about 15% on average. I always thought staying put for a long time was the safer move, but that number made me stop and think. In my own warehouse, I've seen people leave for a few bucks more an hour, but I never knew the average was that high. It's making me question my own plan to stick with my current company. Has anyone else seen data that changed how they think about moving jobs?

Totally get that feeling. Saw a similar stat last year and it messed with my head too. Makes you really rethink the whole loyalty thing.

Ugh, tell me about it. I saw that and my first thought was "well there goes my one good quality." Like, I'm out here thinking my loyalty is a virtue, but the numbers say it's just a bad habit. Makes you feel kind of silly for sticking around places that would replace you in a week.

Wow, that stat is wild but honestly it makes sense. @robinmason is right about loyalty messing with your head, because companies often just don't pay to keep good people. The real trick is knowing your own worth before you jump.
