Iron Mountain haul taught me to check trailer straps at every fuel stop
Took a 2018 Mustang from Denver to Salt Lake last month and pulled into a rest area near Evanston, Wyoming after about 90 miles. The right rear strap had vibrated loose enough that the hook was barely catching the frame rail. I always checked before hitting the road but never thought about mid-route checks. Now I do a full walkaround at every gas stop, takes maybe 3 extra minutes and could save a whole car. Has anyone else had straps loosen up that fast on mountain passes?
