Got burned by a broker after a cheap quote for my Mustang

I found this broker online offering to ship my Mustang from Phoenix to Dallas for like $650, which was way under everyone else. I figured idk, maybe they had a return load or something, so I went with them. Turns out they just listed my car on a load board and waited for a carrier to bite, and after 2 weeks of no pickup, they kept adding fees for 'fuel surcharge' and 'terminal time'. I finally canceled and paid $980 with a direct carrier I found through a local FB group, and it got picked up in 3 days. The cheap quote was just bait to hold my deposit, and I lost $200 to their cancellation fee. Has anyone else had a broker ghost them on a pickup date, or is it just my bad luck with this one?
