Warning: I used to clean my car battery terminals with a wire brush from my late dad's toolbox
Used to scrub the terminals with that brush and wonder why my truck in Tucson kept clicking and dying every 3 weeks, even after I tightened the cables. Turns out the brush ate the lead coating and left scratches where corrosion moved back in faster, which I learned from a guy at the parts counter on Speedway who had maybe 4 teeth but knew his stuff. Now I just pour a can of Coke over them, rinse with a garden hose, and wipe dry, and it has started clean for 8 months straight. Sounds fake, but the acid in the soda eats the green junk without chewing up the metal. Any of you tried the Coke thing, or is baking soda and water the safer move?
