Thought waxing my daily driver was pointless until a guy at the gas station in Mesa asked what year my 2016 Civic was
He guessed 2021 and said he details cars on the side, told me the clear coat was the only thing keeping the desert sun off my paint. Now I wax it every 3 months, and honestly the water beads off way faster when I rinse it.

A guy named after a valley in Arizona guessing your Civic is 5 years newer because of wax is the most Mesa thing I have ever heard. Next he will tell you the dry heat keeps it looking young too.
