Spent 4 hours chasing a battery drain on my truck, turned out to be a $12 part
Two weeks ago my truck started dying overnight and I figured it was the battery so I swapped it. Still dead by morning. I pulled every fuse one by one in my driveway in the cold for 3 hours testing for a draw with a multimeter and got nothing. Took it to my buddy who owns a shop and he found it in 20 minutes: the glovebox light was staying on because the switch was bent. Part cost me 12 bucks and the whole thing ate up most of my Saturday. So here is my question, do you guys chase electrical gremlins yourself or just hand it off right away? And does anyone actually trust those parasitic draw testers from the parts store?
