Hit 80k miles and finally stopped ignoring the coolant smell
My 2015 Civic crossed 80k last Tuesday and that sweetish smell in the cabin finally got to me. Turns out the water pump was weeping for the last 6 months, I just kept topping off the reservoir. Replaced it for $380 out the door, but now I'm wondering how many other fluids I've been pretending are fine. Anybody else have a mileage milestone that forced a fix you'd been putting off?

That coolant smell in the cabin is such a classic sign, my buddy drove his truck for like a year just adding fluid every few weeks. His water pump finally let go on the highway and cost him way more than your $380.
