Warning: I lost $320 on a Canva print run with a tiny font issue

I made a batch of flyers for my electrical shop in Austin last month using Canva. The template looked fine on screen, so I didn't check the export settings too close. Turns out the body text was set to a light gray instead of black, and it came out almost invisible on the paper. Spent $320 on 500 flyers and had to toss the whole stack. The print shop even warned me about low contrast, but I figured it was just their monitor. I should have done a test print on regular paper first, like I do with my wiring diagrams. Has anyone else had a similar surprise with Canva's print colors, or do you usually switch to Figma for print work?

Figured Canva's print colors were foolproof until I ran a batch of dark blue business cards that came out looking purple. Now I always grab a cheap test copy before dropping real money.
