Stop putting brand logos in Figma frames with rounded corners

I keep seeing people share templates where they drop a company logo inside a rounded rectangle frame and call it a day. The corners clip the edges of the logo text and it looks awful on any screen over 13 inches. I noticed this on three different agency decks last week and nobody caught it. Am I the only one who checks for this before sending files to print?

Are you checking this at 100% zoom or zoomed out? I've caught a bunch of clipping issues that only show up when you actually preview it full screen lol.

Yeah totally, ben_shah93, I found the same thing. I started checking everything at 100% after I missed a whole row of overlapping text that only showed up when I actually previewed it full screen, which was a pain to fix after. For me, zooming in to 100% and scrolling through the whole page real slow caught most of the clipping issues.

Is it just me or does this hit way too close to home? @ben_shah93 I feel your pain on the full-screen thing, I had a big project last month where the logo text was getting cut off on the right edge and I only spotted it when I printed a test page. The rounded corners trick your eye into thinking everything fits when it really doesn't, especially with logos that have long names or taglines. I've started keeping a sticky note on my monitor that says "check clipping at 100%" because I've burned myself too many times on this exact issue. It feels like such a small detail but it really messes up the whole look once you see it.
