My 3-hour Canva PDF export that should have taken 10 minutes

So I was building this sales sheet for a client in Canva last Tuesday. Nothing crazy, just some product photos with text overlays and a QR code. I finished the design and hit export as PDF. The file came out looking fine on my screen but when I opened it on my phone the fonts were all shifted and one image was totally cut off. I spent the next three hours trying different export settings, clearing my cache, and even remaking the whole page from scratch. Finally realized the issue was that I was using a Google font that didn't embed properly in the PDF export. Switched to a standard Canva font and it exported perfect on the first try. Has anyone else run into font issues when exporting from Canva to PDF for print? I'm curious if the Figma PDF export handles custom fonts better.
