Hot take: Figma made me lazy with grids, Canva brought me back
I spent 3 years doing all my social posts in Figma with auto-layout and components, then last week I tried rebuilding one of my old templates in Canva for a quick client edit... and realized I'd forgotten how to actually think about spacing and alignment manually, the tool was doing all the work for me. Now I'm flip-flopping between the two and wondering if leaning too hard on Figma's systems stunts your design instincts when you switch tools. Anyone else feel like going back to a simpler tool after using a complex one for months actually sharpened your basics?
