Hot take: Figma is overkill for solo side projects, Canva gets it done in half the time

Last month I was building a one page landing for my buddy's small bakery in Austin. He needed a menu, some photos, and a contact form. I opened Figma because that's what everyone raves about and spent 3 days messing with auto layout, components, and grid systems. Then I tried Canva and had the whole thing laid out in like 2 hours. The text wrapping, the image cropping, the export sizes, all just worked. Figma is great for teams and complex apps but for a simple print or web project, I don't get the hype. Am I missing something or is Canva the right call for quick solo jobs? Has anyone else dropped Figma for Canva when working alone?

Wait, didn't you waste like a whole weekend fighting with those damn frames too?
