Design file templates from Etsy - I was a hater until I caved last Tuesday

Okay so I've been designing on Canva for like 3 years now and I always thought buying templates was a total waste of money. Why pay someone $15 for something I could make myself in 20 minutes right? Well my sister needed a 20 page recipe ebook for her church fundraiser and she needed it in 2 days. I was totally swamped with client work. Saw a template bundle on Etsy for $18 with like 50 recipe card layouts. Figured I'd try it just this once. Honestly it saved me so much time I probably lost 2 hours of sleep max instead of pulling an all nighter. The fonts and colors were actually matched decently too which surprised me. Has anyone else just given in and bought templates after thinking they were too easy to make yourself?

Caved last year when I needed a wedding invitation set and was way too tired to start from scratch. Spent $12 on a pack that had save the dates, invites, and thank you cards all matching. Fonts and colors were already dialed in, just had to swap the names and dates. Definitely changed my mind about them being a waste. What kind of recipe layouts did you end up using?

Wait wait wait, 20 pages in 2 days?? Girl I would have had a meltdown just thinking about that. I only ever had to whip up a 5 page digital planner once and I was DONE.
