Walked through Great Smoky Mountains last week and noticed something weird
Half the campsites had those big inflatable mattresses now instead of sleeping pads. You guys seeing this replace foam pads everywhere or is it just the popular spots?

Are those inflatable ones really more comfortable after a full day of hiking, or are people just chasing the same feel they get at home?

Oh man, those big mattress things are everywhere now! I hate them honestly. They take up way too much space in a tent. And they're a pain to inflate after a long hike. Plus they slide around all night on the tent floor. Give me my old foam pad any day.
