Rant: old timer at a KOA in Montana corrected my tent stakes and I still think about it
He watched me hammer cheap aluminum stakes into gravel for 10 minutes, then handed me a set of beat-up MSR Groundhogs and said 'you're fighting the ground instead of asking it where it wants to sleep,' and after 3 rainy nights in Glacier I finally get why he laughed at my frustration.
