Packing a sleeping bag wrong is a classic rookie move (we've all been there). That reminds me of the time I tried to use a regular trash bag as a pack liner on a drizzly overnight trip. Let's just say everything was damp and my snacks were sad. Sometimes the simplest gear tricks make the biggest difference.
