My $80 Coleman tent pole snapped on the second trip
I was out at Lake Tahoe last weekend and one of the fiberglass poles just cracked in half during setup. I ended up using duct tape and a stick to get it standing for the night. Anyone else had Coleman poles fail super fast like that?

My buddy had the exact same thing happen with his Coleman tent up near Yosemite last fall... pole snapped clean in half on the very first night out. He managed to splint it with a hiking pole and some electrical tape, but it was a total pain. He called Coleman customer service afterwards and they sent him a whole new tent, no questions asked though. The replacement has held up fine for like three trips now with no issues... strange how that works out sometimes.
