I packed a 6 pound sleeping bag into the Sierra for 10 years, now I carry a 1 pound quilt and freeze at 3am
The old bag was heavy as a rock but it never let me down at 11,000 feet, while the quilt is light and expensive and I have spent 4 trips now shivering in the dark wondering if grams are worth being cold, so which one are you all actually taking out there?
