I just realized my old sleeping bag has been on 200 trips
I was patching a small tear and counted all the faded park permit tags still sewn to the stuff sack. Anyone else have a piece of gear that just refuses to quit?

My old camp stove from 2012 has seen better days, but it still boils water. The piezo lighter gave up years ago, so I have to use a match like a caveman. It's basically a metal box with a stubborn will to live.

Remember my dad's old Coleman stove from the 80s, @margaret_lane? Thing would only light with a match and sounded like a jet engine. Some gear just refuses to die quietly. Your 2012 model is getting to that classic stage where it has more character than a new one has features. Who needs a piezo click when you've got that proven track record of boiling water against all odds? That stubborn will is the whole point.

But is it really that deep, @margaret_lane? It's just a stove that still works.
