Hit exactly 200 nights in my tent last year... is that a lot or a little for a casual camper?
I'm torn between thinking that's an impressive milestone for someone who doesn't live in the woods, or wondering if it just means I have no idea what I'm doing if serious backpackers hit 300 plus easy, what do you folks think says more about a person... the number of nights or the quality of gear you use?

You mentioned "serious backpackers hit 300 plus easy" but that's not really accurate for most people. Even full-time thru-hikers taking six months off work usually top out around 150-200 nights if they're moving fast on a long trail. 200 nights is a solid number for anyone who's not living out of their car, and it shows real commitment to getting outside.

Totally agree, I'd say 200 is a solid year for anyone with a real job.
