Spent a whole weekend chasing a shutter squeak on a Pentax K1000
Thought it was just a simple lube job, but the sound kept coming back after I cleaned the first curtain. Turns out the second curtain tension spring had a tiny burr I couldn't see without a 10x loupe. Took me three full teardowns and about 14 hours total to finally spot it and smooth it out. Anyone else ever get stuck on a 'simple' noise fix that turned into a huge hunt?
