Rant: Why I refuse to repair throwaway cameras

These things are built to be garbage after one use. Our trade should focus on fixing gear that lasts.

Yeah, "a little know-how" is the key part there. My know-how once turned a simple film advance into a box of tiny springs and a permanent feeling of shame. I managed to fix it, but the casing looked like it lost a fight with a lawnmower.
