Just found out how many screws are in a single Nikon F3 and I had to laugh
I was tearing down a beat up F3 body last Thursday for a shutter swap and got curious, so I counted every screw I pulled out as I went. Turned out to be 87 of them, and that's before I even touched the prism. I found that number in an old service manual scan a friend sent me from a repair shop in Osaka, and it matched my pile almost exactly, which made me feel a lot less crazy. My bench looked like a hardware store exploded for two hours. Does anyone have a system for keeping track of all those little screws so you don't mix up the short ones and the long ones?
