I finally figured out why my shutter curtain was sticking after a rainy shoot near St. Louis

Was cleaning a Canon AE-1 last week and found a crusty patch of mud inside the curtain track, guess the previous owner tried taking photos in a downpour. Has anyone else dealt with gunk in the curtain rails from bad weather?
