Hit 200 shutter repairs last month and it broke my brain a little
Honestly, I never kept count before but my spreadsheet said I worked on 200 shutters in February. That number made me realize how many people are still shooting old film cameras and how few of us are left to fix them. Anybody else track their numbers and get surprised by the volume?

Wait 200 in one month? That's insane. I barely do like 30 a month and I feel like my eyes are going to fall out from focusing on those tiny springs. You must have been dreaming about shutter curtains and aperture blades every single night.

Gotta push back a little here - 200 a month is just how the math works out when you're the only game in town for a 3 state radius. I've been doing this full time for 12 years and February was actually on the SLOW side since it's a short month. The trick is treating every camera the same, whether it's a beat up K1000 or a Leica M3. You stop thinking about the tiny parts and just let your hands do the work after a while. Yeah I dream about shutter curtains sometimes but honestly that's better than dreaming about spreadsheets and taxes.
