Had a week where every shutter I touched came back for a speed check
Last Tuesday I had three different customers come back with cameras I'd just repaired, all complaining the shutter speeds were off by a stop or more. But then Thursday I did a full CLA on a beat up Nikon F2 and it ran perfectly the first time I tested it. Anyone else ever have a week where the same problem keeps showing up and then suddenly nothing goes wrong?

Man, it's the ghost in the machine. I swear some weeks the repair gods just test your patience on purpose. Then they throw you a perfect F2 to remind you you're not crazy.

Right there with you. Some weeks I feel like I'm just a sacrifice to the repair gods, honestly. You spend hours chasing gremlins in a Fiat, then boom, a clean F2 on a regular VW. Makes you wonder if it's all just a test. My toolbox is basically a shrine at this point, and I'm the burnt offering.
