Why does nobody talk about the time a squirrel chewed through a main line in a Denver attic crawl space?

I had to splice in a new section of RG-6 under a low beam with only a headlamp, using my last compression connector from the truck, and now I keep a rodent deterrent spray in my kit.

Denver has way bigger problems than a squirrel with cable TV cravings. That rodent spray is probably just making your kit smell funny. Honestly, splicing some coax in a crawl space is just a normal Tuesday for anyone who does low voltage work. It's annoying, but calling it a main line makes it sound way more dramatic than it really is. I've had to do way worse fixes with less light and more spider webs.

Listen, joel280, you're right about the drama. But try explaining to my wife why the game cut out right before the touchdown because of some chewed up wire. It's not about the fix being hard. It's about the stupid little things that ruin your night. Last week it was a squirrel, next week it's a lawnmower nicking the line. The real problem is stuff breaking over and over for the dumbest reasons.
