Seeking advice on recycling old coaxial cables

I have a box full of them from upgrades (it's getting pretty heavy). Any good programs or methods to dispose of them responsibly?

Ever see those cables turn up at thrift stores sometimes? I swear my local place had a whole bin labeled 'mystery wires' last month, mostly coax and old phone cords. It got me wondering if people just donate them hoping someone will want them, lol. My dad used to strip the copper out of his for scrap and use the plastic sheath to tie up his tomato plants. Not sure if that's helpful for a whole box, but it was something.

That "mystery wires" bin is such a perfect example of how we hang onto tech way past its prime. It's like every house has a drawer full of cables that might be useful someday, but never are.

Oh man, the "mystery wires" bin is the thrift store's final act of hope before the landfill. It's where cables go to live out their last days, hoping some guy with a very specific 2003 printer will walk in. Your dad's tomato plant idea is honestly a better fate than that sad bin. What's the weirdest cable you've ever found in one of those?
