My foreman swore by electrical tape for coax labels, then we found 6 dead drops in Denver
He said a sharpie on tape would hold for years, but after 3 months of summer sun in Denver that tape turned to goo and peeled clean off, how do you guys mark your lines so they actually last through the seasons?

Sharpie on tape is like trusting a paper towel to fix a leak, it works until the sun gets involved. Every outdoor label I've seen fail comes back to the same mistake, people pick a material that's good for indoor convenience instead of the actual weather where the drop lives. I switched to metal tags that I stamp with a number, and then I keep a separate log book back at the shop, that way the tag stays readable and the info stays safe. Sure it takes an extra minute to set up, but so does reterminating six dead lines in the heat.
