I know everyone swears by the Klein coax stripper, but the one from Ideal has been way more reliable for me over the last three years

Honestly the Klein tool is a crimper-stripper combo, not just a stripper. The Ideal one you mentioned is a dedicated stripper so they're meant for different jobs. Tbh comparing them is kinda apples to oranges. I've had both and they're both good for what they're actually made to do.

Feel the same way about that Ideal stripper... it just works every single time without any fuss. The spring on mine is still perfect after years of daily use. Sometimes the simpler tool that does one job well beats the fancy combo thing. I've seen so many guys fight with that Klein crimper part when they just need to strip wire fast. You're not wrong for sticking with what actually works for you.

I've had the same experience with my Ideal stripper. Bought it years ago after borrowing a buddy's and it still cuts clean every time. The spring action is just right, not too stiff and not too loose. I tried a Klein combo once and ended up going back to the dedicated stripper for most jobs.
