Crawl space in Denver made me change my whole tool setup
I had a job off Colfax last Tuesday where the customer had a 1920s house with maybe 18 inches of clearance under the floor, no vapor barrier, and mud everywhere. My normal drill bag and ladder setup was useless down there, I ended up crawling on my elbows for an hour just to reach the main splitter. Anyone else carry a separate low-profile kit for tight crawl spaces, and what do you keep in it that actually helps?
That "crawling on my elbows for an hour" part is the real killer, it eats your whole day before you even start the actual work. What helps me is keeping a cheap plastic kids sled in the truck, you lay on it and pull yourself through the mud way faster than elbow crawling, and your clothes stay a little less wrecked. Takes up almost no room and you can drag your tools along behind you on it.
