Cat6 vs Cat6a in an attic in July, learned my lesson
Ran a 200 foot pull in Austin last week and used Cat6a thinking the extra shielding would save me from interference near the HVAC. It was twice the weight and stiffness, took me 3 hours to fight it through the insulation, and the customer's runs were all under 150 feet anyway. Anyone else regret going heavy on a straight shot when plain Cat6 would've done the job?

Buddy of mine did the same thing last summer in Dallas. Bought a 500 foot spool of 6a for a house with four drops, all short runs. Spent a whole Saturday wrestling that stiff cable through old work boxes and cussing up a storm. Ended up with sore hands and a cable that barely fit in the keystone jacks. He still has half the spool in his garage two years later. Cat6 would've finished the job before lunch.
