A homeowner in Tacoma said my cable lines looked like spaghetti, now I use zip ties on every drop
She pointed at the bundle behind her TV and called it a rat's nest, so I started strapping cables every 18 inches and it cut my rework calls in half, anyone else get heat from customers about neatness?

Cutting rework calls in half makes total sense because half the job is just finding the right line when you come back. I started doing the same thing after a lady in Puyallup told me my drop looked like a snake pit, and now I run velcro straps every foot or so. The trick is leaving a little slack at each strap so the cable can still move when it gets hot or cold, otherwise the ties pinch the jacket over time. Takes maybe ten extra minutes a job but way less time crawling around trying to trace stuff later.
