A customer in Akron once told me his attic was 'a time capsule of bad coax'
I was up there replacing a line from the 90s, and he pointed to a dusty spool of RG-59 and said, 'That's from when we got the box for the O.J. trial.' He kept every old cable from every upgrade, just stacked in a corner. What's the oldest piece of cable you've pulled out of a wall?

Heard a story from a buddy who does low voltage work. He was fishing a new line in an old office building and pulled out this thick, cloth-wrapped cable. Turns out it was original to the building, like 1950s stuff, for some ancient intercom system. It crumbled in his hands when he touched it. He said it felt like pulling a fossil out of the wall.

Pulling a fossil out of the wall is about the only history I find, since my work just leaves holes in the ground.
