Two years into cabinetmaking I realized I was measuring from the wrong side of the tape....

One job out in Elmira where all my face frames were off by 1/16th made me finally notice the hook on my tape was wiggling too much... anyone else have a measurement habit they stuck with way too long?

Used to think a loose hook was no big deal... this changed my mind real quick when I had to scrap a whole set of doors.
