Spray rails vs taped edges, the prefinished maple changed my mind

I built two identical vanities last month, one with taped and pigmented edges, one with prefinished maple ply and applied edge banding. The spray finish took me 2 days with sanding between coats and still had a tiny nib in the corner, while the prefinished stuff went together in an afternoon and looked flawless under the shop lights. Anyone else ditch the spray booth work for factory finishes on smaller jobs or is that just me dodging the prep?
