Showerthought: I cut dados with my router going the wrong direction for 3 years
I was building a set of oak drawers in my garage in Boise last Tuesday and the tearout on the plywood was so bad I had to scrap a whole side piece. An old guy at the lumber yard looked at my cut and said "you're feeding that thing backwards, the bit should push the wood into the fence, not climb away from it." So how do you all keep track of feed direction when you're doing a bunch of dados in a row and your brain goes on autopilot?
