My uncle swore by using a 3/4 inch roundover bit on all drawer fronts
He said it gave a classic look and was easier on the hands. I did it for a big kitchen job last month with maple, and every single client complained the edges felt too sharp and unfinished. Had to go back and hand-sand a softer profile on all 24 drawers, which added two full days to the project. Anyone have a better bit suggestion for a soft but clean drawer edge?

Simon's comment about calloused hands hit home for me. I switched to a 1/8 inch chamfer bit after a similar job went wrong, and it gave just enough softness without looking unfinished.

Ever feel like you're the only one who likes a sharp edge? My hands are calloused from work, so maybe my sense of touch is broken. I'd go with a small chamfer or a 1/2 inch roundover next time.
