I just hit 500 drawers on my Blum Tandem slides without a single failure

I mean, I know they're good slides, but that number kind of shocked me when I checked my project log. I've been using them on everything from kitchen jobs to built-in office units for about two years now. It's not just about the slides holding up, it's that I haven't had a single callback for a sticky or misaligned drawer in all that time. That's a lot of saved trips and happy clients. I guess consistent mounting and checking the reveal every time really does pay off. Has anyone else tracked a run like that with a specific hardware piece?

The Blum jig is a game changer for that kind of consistency. I hit about 300 on a big apartment remodel last year and had the same zero-fail experience. It's wild how something so simple, like always checking the gap with a credit card, locks in that perfect action every single time. Makes you trust the gear completely.

That's a crazy good run. The mounting jig they sell is worth every penny for hitting that same spot every time, even on site. I've found a quick check with a combo square on the front edge after screwing them in catches any tiny alignment issues before the drawer box goes on.

The combo square check is solid, but you gotta do it before snugging the screws down all the way. Snug them first and you might already be off a hair.
