I bought a cheap pocket hole jig for $40 and it ruined a whole batch of cabinet face frames.

The plastic guide block flexed on every single hole, putting them all out of alignment. I had to scrap eight frames made from maple, which was about $150 in wood alone, plus my time. The jig is now in the trash. What's a solid brand for this that won't bend under pressure?

Ugh, been there! My old plastic one warped so bad I threw it across the shop.

Used to think any jig would work. Your post convinced me to just get a Kreg.

Yeah, the time you save is worth it.
