Had a guy ask me to build a cabinet for his pet ostrich last Tuesday

Said he needed a 6-foot-tall hutch with a locking door cause the bird kept opening his fridge. I told him I'd need to see the ostrich first before I give a quote, has anyone else gotten weird animal requests?

Hang on, a fridge-opening ostrich? That's wild. So did you actually go see the bird, and if so did it give you any kind of look, like it was sizing you up? I'm dying to know if this thing was just bored or actually plotting something.

Plotting something" is exactly the vibe I got. @the_ray, that ostrich didn't just open the fridge, it stared right through me like I was the one being sized up for a snack. I swear it had this dead-eyed look, like it was calculating how long before I turned my back. Bored? No way. That bird was running a long con, I could feel it. Probably just wanted to see if I'd freak out, and guess what, mission accomplished.
