Had a customer point out my drawer slides were off by a 16th and it took me three days to stop being mad about it
He was right though, so now I measure every drawer box twice from the center line instead of just once and has anyone else had to re-learn a simple step after getting called out by someone who's not even in the trade?

Huh, is a sixteenth really worth three days of being mad about, @grant_torres?

Tape measures and a little humility, that's the fix right there. Nothing wrong with measuring twice, I've had to re-learn that same lesson more than once after getting called out on a frame that was off by a hair. Your mileage may vary, but I've found using a dedicated story pole or a stop block for repetitive cuts saves me from that second guess. The customer might not be in the trade, but good eyes are good eyes regardless.
